Toast Fingers & Rusks
Simple and nutritious, you can make up as many of these as you need, and the rusks can be stored away in a container for later.
Ingredients
1 loaf or slices of fine or wholemeal bread
Method
1. Toast thick slices of bread and allow them to cool. Cut each slice into three ‘fingers’ or ‘soldiers. You can serve them plain or with a light spread or butter or margarine.
2. To make rusks, pop thick bread fingers in a slow oven. They’ll need to be in for about 1 hour to dry out. Cool them on a rack and store them in an airtight container.

Great finger food for your little one, and good for you if you want to sit down and have a snack with them!
