Wattie's Stir Thru Cooking Sauces

Make cooking for baby easy with Wattie’s® delicious Stir Thru Cooking Sauces.

Our low sodium baby cooking sauce range contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and comes in 3 tasty varieties:

  • Mild Butter Chicken with Veggies
  • Tomato with Herbs Mediterranean Style
  • Creamy Cauliflower with Herbs

Suitable for infants from 8+ months, the sauces include vegetables, herbs and mild spices to expose baby to a variety of new and exciting flavours.

Preparation is easy. Simply heat an 85g serving of cooking sauce as per instructions and stir through your selection of protein, vegetables or carbohydrates. Just ensure the foods added are an appropriate soft texture and shape for your little one’s stage.

Here are some examples:

Protein

  • Cooked beef, pork, chicken or lamb mince
  • Canned tuna or salmon in water (drained and flaked, check for no bones)
  • Canned legumes - drained, rinsed and mashed (e.g. chickpeas, lentils, kidney beans)

Vegetables

  • Cooked mashed peas or broccoli
  • Grated carrot or zucchini

Carbohydrate

  • Cooked rice or mini pasta pieces
  • Cooked and mashed potato, kumara or pumpkin
  • Cooked grains e.g. quinoa

Tip: Set aside some of the protein, vegetables and carbohydrates you are using for your family meal and cook up for baby, then toss through our cooking sauce. Remember not to add any salt or sugar!

Now baby can also join in the family mealtime experience with their own special meal.
