What’s in Toddler Milk Drinks?

Toddler Milk Drinks

Having a toddler is an exciting time as your baby turns into a busy little person. However as they become more independent, it’s common for toddler’s to go through a fussy eating stage.

While cows’ milk can now be your toddler's main milk drink, it’s important to remember that although it’s a good source of some nutrients, cows’ milk is a poor source of iron. Toddlers need plenty of iron rich foods in their diet for healthy growth, learning and development. Some toddlers struggle to get enough iron - especially if they are picky eaters, don’t like to eat meat, or have small appetites.

Otago University research has shown that iron stores can become low by 12 months and around one-third of toddlers are thought to have low iron levels1. Vitamin D2 and Iodine3 are also often below recommended levels. Toddler milks are a great way to boost Iron, Vitamin D, and Iodine levels.

This is where is Heinz Nurture® Toddler Milk Drink can be a useful reassurance for your peace of mind.

As part of a healthy varied diet, one 230mL serve of Heinz Nurture® Toddler or Gold Toddler Milk Drink provides your busy toddler with the following essential nutrients;

  • Iron, Zinc, and Iodine for growth and development in children
  • Calcium and Vitamin D for healthy bones and teeth
  • Iron and Zinc for immune function

Developing healthy eating habits in this age group is important, you can be reassured that our Heinz Nurture® Toddler Milk Drinks contain no added sucrose.

Heinz Nurture® Gold Toddler contains the following additional ingredients:

Omega-3 DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) from fish oil

Prebiotic – GOS (Galacto-oligosaccharide) A dietary fibre which feeds the good bacteria (probiotics) in your child’s tummy
